About Us
AK & Co | Funding + Evaluation partners with nonprofits, educational institutions, and public agencies to develop competitive grant proposals, build fundraising strategy, and design and conduct evaluations that reflect the important work your programs do. Our work spans education, youth development, workforce training, and advocacy programming. We are a small practice with a global footprint, working with clients across the United States, the SWANA region, and West Africa.
Founder, Anna Kensicki, MPA, PhD
Anna is a grants professional with 14 years of experience partnering with nonprofits across the United States, Palestine, Jordan, Côte d'Ivoire, and Egypt. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Louisville and a PhD in Politics and International Studies from SOAS University of London. Her grants and nonprofit administration experience spans higher education, freedom of expression and media rights, community organizing, and think tank fundraising and program development.
A former Fulbright U.S. Scholar and independent researcher, Anna's work engages questions of human rights, conflict settings, and displacement. She maintains an active research agenda, with scholarly work published in Human Geography, Journal of Palestine Studies, Citizenship Studies, Law and Ethics of Human Rights, and Journal of Political Science Education. She taught for two years at the International University of Grand-Bassam in Côte d'Ivoire, where her courses included research methods — a foundation that continues to shape her approach to evaluation and applied research today.
She is currently based in Dahab, Egypt, where she spends whatever time she can underwater. Anna is available to work with clients globally.
